Artist's Profile

A varied background over the last 16 years, I have worked and studied with some of the most talented people in the entertainment industry. My self-guided path has taken me across North America. On several occasions, I have had the pleasure of playing and writing my music in the company of Chucho Valdes at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Russell Malone, Mike Stern, John Stowell, & Ben Wolfe at the  Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival in Idaho; Maestro Borris Brott with the McGill Chamber Orchestra.

While at UCLA, I studied orchestration under Steven Scott Smalley and Robert Drasnin. My undergraduate work in jazz studies (McGill, Berklee) and composition (Selkirk) have illuminated and served those projects that I have had the fortune to work on. I continue to further my education in the area of Film Studies,Screenwriting, History & Criticism at NSCAD University in Halifax. “You never stop learning!” and you can never know it all…my motto.

With proper budgeting & planning the use of real musicians and instruments is preferred over strictly technological means. Narrative should not sound dated. This method averts such pitfalls, which are prone to fad.
